Principal's Message

The time-honoured expression by Glenn C Stewart, “Character is the indispensable foundation of Talent, Education and Experience” has never rung more true than during the present times. School is the prime social structure the child encounters, and it provides an excellent opportunity for character building. Character building is a proactive process that positively affects the development of a person’s traits, and facilitates in becoming a righteous individual.

Character is the soul of education without which education becomes a bane, a tool for exploiting fellow human beings. A person who has all the knowledge but no character will be a knowledgeable humanoid. True education seeks to nourish the good qualities in an individual and draw out the best in every person. It is rightly said “a well-tended tree is shown by its fruits” (Sirach 26:6). So, the core strength of any educational institution lies in building empowered future generation which bears the everlasting fruits of vision, integrity, courage, competency, power of articulation, and profundity of character. In line with these ideals of education, Shalini Convent School envisages the holistic development of its learners by reinforcing Character, Competence and Compassion through its multidisciplinary exposure.

The virtual world of our creation seems to have eroded the authenticity of unique self and brought in its wake complicated situations in life. In this milieu, the challenge before the parents and educators is to harness the benefits of this all pervading technology in providing a wholesome learning experience to our students to explore and enhance their potentials. Thus prepare them to be competent global citizens imbued with high moral standards.

The progressive journey of Shalinites proudly upholds the synchronous efforts on the part of the various stakeholders of our education system, i.e. our students, parents, educators, management and society. This participatory synergy is the strength of our institution. May the Lord continue to guide and bless all of our endeavours!
